all about children's sensitive skin

Having a child with excessively sensitive skin can bring a lot of challenges into your life. You have to watch what products come into the home because it can cause your child to get a rash. Ever since my daughter was born, I have had to be very cautious about the laundry detergents that I used in her clothes as well as my own. When people held her, I had to wrap her in a blanket to prevent perfume and their laundry detergent from causing her to break out in a rash. A dermatologist has helped us find several products that have helped over the years. Find out about sensitive skin here on my blog.

3 Skin Treatments Thirty-Somethings Should Consider

The aging process can be a shock to the system. Many find that after years of great skin in their teens and twenties, that their thirties are completely different. The third decade of life is when many begin to notice things like wrinkles, duller skin, and even some sagging. Anti-aging treatments can be confusing and some are completely ineffective. In order to deal with some of these unwanted signs of aging, a trip to the dermatology clinic may be necessary. Here are three treatments that people in their thirties should consider.

Botox

The thirties are a time when many people begin to notice frown lines and crow's feet. These wrinkles can be treated with a variety of methods but Botox is one of the most effective. Botox can be injected into the muscles to temporarily relax them and smooth out wrinkles. The average cost is somewhere between $30 and $500. It's a treatment that is offered at most dermatology offices and can be an effective way to deal with wrinkles that are just beginning to develop. The main downside is that Botox only lasts three to six months meaning multiple treatments are necessary. The costs can add up over the course of a few years.

Chemical Peels

One of the biggest contributors to dull skin is slow skin cell turnover. Cell turnover slows down with age leading to less luminous looking skin and older looking skin. The thirties are when many people begin to notice duller skin Exfoliation is the best way to remove these built up skin cells in order to reveal the youthful looking skin underneath. Chemical peels are highly effective exfoliation treatments that can be performed by a dermatologist. The average cost of a chemical peel is $632. These treatments can be done in office and often require little in the way of downtime.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

The thirties are a time when many really start to notice uneven skin tone, redness, acne scarring, and wrinkling. Laser skin resurfacing is a great way to treat all of these issues at once. Laser skin resurfacing removes layers of skin. The new skin that forms during the healing process is healthier and more youthful than the skin that was just removed. The average cost of laser skin resurfacing is $2,300. This is a great treatment that many people in their thirties should consider when visiting their dermatologist.

Taking care of the skin becomes more important with age. The dermatologist's office, such as Strnot Dermatology, is a great place to start. Three treatments that may come in handy during a person's thirties include Botox, chemical peels, and laser skin resurfacing.
